Iranian missiles and drones struck US Naval Forces Central Command and residential towers in Manama on 28 February 2026, at a base hosting about 8,300 sailors, and further attacks followed including a desalination plant on 8 March 2026 and IRGC fire on US sites in Bahrain on 7 and 8 July 2026.
