There was no China-Russia falling out by 17 July 2026. Putin and Xi signed a multipolar world declaration and about 20 agreements in Beijing on 20 May 2026 and extended the 2001 Treaty of Good-Neighborliness; the visible strain is commercial, with Power of Siberia 2 talks deadlocked in July 2026 over a gas price gap of roughly 50 against 250 dollars per thousand cubic metres, and neither side walking away.
