China sent no forces and confined itself to condemnation and calls for de-escalation, with the Hudson Institute finding in September 2025 that there was no confirmation of a major Chinese arms transfer to Tehran. The qualifier is commercial rather than military: Chinese firms shipped over 1,000 tons of missile propellant precursor in early 2025 and the US Treasury designated six Chinese companies in April 2025 for supplying IRGC propellant ingredients.
